Can I use the inverter with a 24V system?
No. This is 12V inverter, so this model can only work with 12V battery system.

Can I use this 12V inverter to charge my batteries?
No. The Renogy 12VDC to 230/240VAC inverter can only convert DC power to AC power. Please check the Renogy Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger, and we have 12V 2000W and 3000W for your options.

How do I hook up the 12V to 240V inverter? What size cable should I use, and is it included?
When connecting the power inverter 12V to 240V to the battery always use the thickest wire available, in the shortest length practical. 20mm²*6m cables with battery terminals is included in the pacakge.

Can I use this inverter to charge my batteries?
No. This inverter only provides 12V to 230/240V conversion. Please find more with Inverter Charger.

Can this 12V to 240V inverter work with lithium batteries?
Yes, as long as the lithium battery is rated for 12V applications.

I hesitate to rate any new device 5 stars not knowing how it will last over the long haul but I honestly couldn't find any issues with this unit that gave me cause for concern. It comes shipped in an extremely well designed package and includes the accessories like cabling and remote that you might use as well. I tried it with different batteries and it's output was 60 Hz at 110V on each of them. The input ratings states that it can be powered by batteries from 10.5V to 16V. In my location my house voltage usually runs from 118V to 122V so it is a little lower than that but should work fine for my appliances that it will be powering if needed. I guess I would have preferred it to output 115V instead of 110V but there is no adjustment for that which I could find.
The included manual covered the basics and setup very well and is easy to read.

I have had this machine hooked up to my small 12 V system for several months now. I am pulling approximately 1500 W at a time. The machine works well, is quite, stays cool and it’s just as easy to hook up as any other inverter on the market. If you are familiar with inverters, the big questions are will it last and will it pull maximum power? Unfortunately, I’ve only had this in-service for a few months and I have not pulled maximum power from it. I don’t want to do any destructive testing like pushing the machine to failure or doing something that might cause damage. I will update this review when more time has passed to let you know of the longevity. But as of right now yes I would recommend this inverter and I would buy one again if needed.
